What to compare
- Software support — Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Maya, 3ds Max, and the render engines inside them (Redshift, Octane, V-Ray, Corona, Arnold, Cycles).
- Pricing model — per-GPU-hour is the most transparent; watch out for farms that charge per rendered frame regardless of complexity.
- Human support — automated queues are fine until a scene has a missing texture or a broken link at 2 a.m. before a deadline.
- Free test render — a farm that renders a handful of test frames before charging you for the full job is telling you it trusts its own estimate.
